Horspath Hammers narrowly missed out on upsetting Leicester in the British Women’s Team Championship at Poole.

With debutant Letitia Collins scoring a maximum 20 points, Horspath finished just three points behind five-time champions Leicester.

Horspath were missing ones of their leading riders, Livvi Horsley, due to a broken collarbone, but were led well by skipper Rachel Edge, who dropped just one point with some forceful bends.

Gemma Coash, Horsley’s late replacement was unlucky to fall in her third outing.
