Cropredy stuffed Stokenchurch by eight wickets to join them at the top.

In a surprisingly one-sided affair, Stokenchurch were bowled out for 162, Ed Somerton doing much of the damage by taking 3-32.

Geoff Barrett (61), Wayne Hazel (47) and Richard Lynch (36no) carried Cropredy to 163-2.

Bicester & North Oxford are only four points behind the joint leaders in third after prevailing in a tense finish at Cumnor 2nd.

Richard Simpson took 5-35 and Steve Conway 3-23 as Cumnor crawled to 137-9, of which Ian Belcher made 30.

Jamie Hall’s 60 put Bicester in the box seat, but Simon Howarth (4-35) and George Glew (3-34) made them fight all the way to 140-9.

Banbury Twenty 2nd were outplayed by Buckingham Town 2nd, but staved off defeat for only the second time this term.

Town made 245-6 thanks to Andrew Thatcher (73) and Nick Cadman (50), Steve Partington shining with 4-83.

In reply Assif Hussain’s 42 was the only bright spot in Twenty’s dreary 126-7.

Banbury XX 2nd 6, Buck’ham 2nd 15

A fifth-wicket partnership of 106 between Kirk Brazier (54) and Richard Jenner (52) saw Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd recover from a poor start to 194 all out against Chearsley.

Alex Hubert (4-23) and Eddie Holland (4-46) excelled for the visitors, but their batsmen struggled against Andy Smith (3-15) and Gareth Benger (3-41) before succumbing for 127.
