Charlie Downes smashed 157 for Bledlow Village to put a dent in Aston Rowant 2nd’s promotion hopes in Division 3 of the MP Sports Cherwell League.
Rowant had elected to field first, but regretted the decision as Bledlow blasted 272-7.
James Shirley then took 3-34 to give the hosts hope of victory, but Adam Muttitt (52no) and Dave Ridgley (43no) took Rowant to 168-5.

Oxford Downs 2nd leapfrogged Rowant into second place by pulling off an impressive run chase at home to Witney Mills.
Mills brought up their 50 inside five overs, but were reined back by Will Sandbach (4-44) and Matt Watts (3-25) to finish on 203-9. Pierre Lefort top scored with 60.
Watts’s son Will then hit 60, before James Ellwood (45no) steered Downs to 208-4.

Kingston Bagpuize put in a spirited performance to draw at leaders Dinton 2nd.
Oliver Young took 5-47 after Bagpuize chose to field first, although the hosts made 261-8 dec after 50 overs thanks to Matthew Dodds (77) and Matthew Kelloway (51).
Matthew Warner’s 60 plus 75 not out from Martin Shepherd kept Kingston in the game, although they fell 26 runs short of victory on 236-7.

Left-arm seamer Paul Brzezicki bagged 7-23 as bottom club Oxford 3rd were bundled out for only 71 at home to Bledlow Ridge. The visitors romped to 74-1, led by Martin Middleton (43no).

Matthew Neilson’s 64 was the highlight of Hanborough’s 147 all out at home to Great Brickhill, Nick Tweed claiming 3-35.
Arran Aris hit 62 as Hanborough fell to a six-wicket loss.
