Two crushing rink wins gave Oxfordshire a 137-98 victory over Sussex in the Home Counties League at South Oxford.

The six rinks were shared, with both counties taking three wins apiece.

But skips Mark Charlett and Robbie Clanfield, with 36-12 and 35-14 wins respectively, ensured Oxon ran out convincing winners.

Nick Rae-Welsh was Oxon’s third winning skip, coming from behind to post a 20-17 success.

And Oxon only went down by one shot on two of the three other rinks.

Skip Greg Moon was pipped 17-16, while Mark Sykes was denied 18-17.

Calvin Carpenter skipped Oxon’s other losing rink with a 20-13 defeat.
