Skipper Tom Price led the way as Oxfordshire Under 10 continued their outstanding start to the season with a nine-wicket victory over Berkshire at Great & Little Tew.

Choosing to bowl first seamers Sam Powell and Theo Taylor found a probing line and length right from the first over.

Although unable to make an early breakthrough, the pressure soon told as Price captured three wickets and Benedict Yorston two as Berkshire posted 151-7 from their 40 overs.

Price and Charlie Miller had shared a 62-run stand in the victory over Devon, and they again combined superbly in Oxfordshire’s reply.

The pair contributed a 140-run partnership as both reached fluent half-centuries.

Miller was eventually run out for 64, before Harrison Ward joined Price, who finished 62 not out, to secure a commanding victory with almost ten overs to spare.
