Llloyd Sabin smashed a brilliant century as Banbury got off to a winning start in the Honey-Bee Oxfordshire Under 17 Championship.
Batting first against Shipton-under-Wychwood, Banbury posted 198-3 with Sabin scoring 114.
Mark Pallett then took figures of 3-24 in Shipton’s 148-8 total.
Matt Taylor was agonisingly close to a ton, finishing unbeaten on 96, as Great & Little Tew amassed 177-4 against Sandford St Martin.
Sandford replied with 127-6, Ben Lewis scoring 52.
