Matt Johnson was crowned BB&O Colts champion after winning a play-off at Chipping Norton – his home course.
Johnson finished tied with Paul Raines (Winters Hill) on level-par 142, but pipped him at the first extra hole to land the trophy.
With Burford’s Donovan Henderson-Sowerby third and Oli Tite (Witney Lakes) tied for fifth, it was a good day for west Oxon players in the under 25 competition.
Johnson carded rounds of 69 and 73 on the par-71 course, while Raines stormed back with a 67 following a morning 75.
Henderson-Sowerby also won the handicap prize after his 143 total gave him a nett score of 141.
Tite, who plays off plus one, carded 71 and 73, while fellow Witney member Toby Morgan was tenth on 148, one shot ahead of Dean Newbold (Frilford Heath).
Tadmarton Heath’s Liam Robinson finished fourth and won the morning scratch prize with rounds of 70 and 73.
Chippy also hosted the BB&O Mid-Age Championship for over 25s.
Here, the leading local performer was Mark Stanton (Chipping Norton), who finished joint sixth on 150 after rounds of 69 and 81.
Tadmarton’s Spencer Hallam and Frilford Heath’s Ashley Walton came joint fourth after carding 149 totals.
Oxford United’s transfer-listed midfielder Jamie Cook (Witney Lakes) withdrew after a first-round 71.
