Wootton & Boars Hill CC will name their pavilion after a founder member at a special memorial match on Sunday.
Mick Williams was one of the ‘founding fathers’ who negotiated with the parish council to have cricket played on the parish field opposite the church in Wootton Village.
And following his death this year, the club have arranged a special match to mark the naming ceremony.
His son, John, has got together an invitation XI that includes Oxfordshire players Ian Crosby, Stewart Laudat, Philip Evans and Ian Evans to take on the club side in a 40-over-a-side clash.
Play is due to start at 2pm, and anybody is welcome to attend.
