OCA League Divisions 1-4
Veteran off-spinner Richard Tredwell rolled back the years with seven wickets as Westbury thrashed leaders Horley by 147 runs to close the gap at the top of Division 1 to one point.
Batting first, Westbury recovered from 9-2 to post a formidable total.
Tom Wilson hit 76, while an unbroken stand of 119 between Jordan Ayris (58no) and Matthew Smith (52no) took Westbury to 283-6.
Horley had no answer to Tredwell in their reply as he claimed 7-48 to skittle the visitors for 136.
Youngster Conor Taylor scored 112 to help Shrivenham to a 47-run victory over Marcham.
Shrivenham posted 234-8, despite Stuart Armstrong’s 6-65.
Marcham’s Dave Prosper scored 77 in Marcham’s reply, but they struggled to 187-8.
Great Horwood eased to a six-wicket win at Freeland.
Neil Wilkins (3-22) and Matt McStraw (3-28) combined as Freeland were all out for 116.
Steve Willett then scored 46 as Horwood eased to 118-4.
Tetsworth took another beating, losing by seven wickets at Garsington.
Asif Shah (4-51) and Maseh Sadiqi (3-22) ensured Tet-sworth were shot out for 134, before Keith Parsler scored 66 not out in Garsington’s 136-3.
In Division 2, spinner Jack Simpson took 5-46 to help Minster Lovell to a two-wicket win at Faringdon.
Faringdon were dismissed for 142, then Andy Crawford hit 58 as Minster edged home.
Watlington eased to an 81-run win over Charlbury.
Chris Allen (59) led Watlington to 209-8, before Adrian Thomas took 6-29 as Charlbury were bowled out for 128.
Pat Bryan starred with the ball for Letcombe, who beat Marsh Gibbon by four wickets.
Bryan took 5-48 in Marsh Gibbon’s 130 all out.
Paul Bryan then hit 43 as Letcombe reached 132-6.
Melvyn Riley’s century was in vain for Hook Norton as they lost by three wickets at Witney Swifts.
Riley scored 106 in Hooky’s 220-7, Omar Hussain taking 4-42.
Swifts reached 222-7 in reply, Alfie Saunders scoring 58.
Azhar Shah took 5-43 as Broughton & North Newington’s cruised to a 78-run win over Oxford Caribbean.
Christian Drury’s 5-31 was the catalyst for Eynsham’s four-wicket win over Oxenford in Division 3.
Darren Gawley scored 102 in Oxenford’s 187 all out.
Eynsham reached the target with six wickets down, Graham Wells top-scoring with 44.
Morley Benson (94) and Andrew Pynegar (71) helped Clifton Hampden to 242-6 against Westcott, who then fell to 182 all out.
East Oxford 2nd crashed to an eight-wicket defeat against West Ilsley.
Javeed Faruq (65), Moh-ammed Ayyaz (53no) and Amir Faruq (50) saw East Oxford to 223-6.
But Hugh Evans scored 95 not out and George Storton 68 not out as Ilsley cruised to 229-2.
East & West Hendred cru-shed Fringford by 139 runs.
Miles Martin (61no) and Ivan Mulford (55) helped Hendred to 223-5.
Fringford made no attempt at chasing the target as they crawled to 84-9 in reply.
Combe won their derby clash at Stonesfield by eight wickets.
After Julian Chaundy took 4-42 in Stonesfield’s 157-9, Chris Moore (64no) led Combe to 159-2.
Danny Harding smashed 134 to help Chadlington to a 39-run win at Winslow Town in Division 4.
Chadlington posted 201-7, before three wickets apiece from Steve Hunt, Martin Shepherd and Richard Ingram ensured Winslow were bowled out for 162.
Wayne Morton (64) and Mark Gresham (55) saw Wootton & Boars Hill to 237-8 at Britwell Salome.
The home side then fell to 214 all out.
Hailey thrashed Oxford Rescue by eight wickets, having restricted their hosts to 150-8.
Joel King led the way with 66 not out as Hailey eased home.
