Oxfordshire Under 13s were awarded a seven-wicket victory based on their run-rate as they got their ECB County Championship campaign off to a great start against Northamptonshire.
Oxon dominated with bat and ball, but with the match being abandoned due to a downpour, they were declared the winners on the new run-rate rule.
Spinner Alex Davies did most of the damage with four wickets as Northants were restricted to 125-9 from their 40 overs.
And Oxon were 118-3, James Fitzjohn (pictured) 47 not out, when rain forced an early end with Oxon just seven runs short.
Crucially, Oxon were way ahead on run rate, and were awarded the victory.
