I was sorry to hear the sad news of well-known Oxford Bus AC member Tony Prescott, who died recently.

I first met Tony years ago when I went fishing to southern Ireland with the Oxford Bus club.

During that holiday I made friends with them all and when we arrived home I was invited to fish their ‘School Waters’ on the Cherwell.

I spent many a Sunday taking their money off them and even fished against them once in the Short Knock-Out Cup when I represented West Oxford.

Tony was a very competent angler and a genuine bloke who will be sadly missed.
