David Dyer hit a magnificent unbeaten 135 to sweep Cumnor to a convincing six-wicket win over Challow & Childrey on Saturday.
Dyer went from 99 to 123 with four consecutive sixes as the home side raced past Challow’s 238-6 in only 42 overs.
Earlier, James Phillips had hit 104 and Ian Demain 53 for the visitors, while teenage spinner Miles Hammond claimed 4-84.
Challow paceman David Slade (4-25) took all the wickets to fall after tea, but Dyer joined forces with Adam Cook (44) and Sam Jones (33no) to steer his side to third place in the table.
Cumnor 25pts, Challow & Childrey 9
Leaders Bourton Vale batted out for a draw at Horspath and so prevented their opponents from leapfrogging them at the top.
Put in to bat, Horspath compiled an imposing 250-8, thanks principally to captain Robbie Eason’s 83.
Ryan Hill took 4-56 for the visitors, who were in the hunt while Jaimie Noble (76) and Neil Ferrera (66) were at the crease.
But Lee Mason's 4-51 and Horspath’s slow over rate – which cost them a one point penalty – left them short on 225-7.

Oxford Downs’ skipper Darryl Woods stroked 123 and his predecessor Wes Bartlett 64 to make Bletchley Town rue their decision to field first.
Only Graham Simpson (4-94) kept the home side in check as they posted 254-5.
Simpson then hit 80 as he provided the backbone to Town’s reply, and with Ken Hollis (60) kept his side’s chances alive.
But wickets fell to Daryl Johnson (3-63) and James Clark (30no) played out for a draw on 238-8.

Unbeaten Shipton-under-Wychwood outplayed Great & Little Tew, but were unable to prise out the final wicket and had to settle for a draw.
A good team effort saw Shipton reach 226-9, with Andrew Hemming (58), Simon Hole (36), Craig Wood (36) and Charles Brain (30) all in the runs. Joe White (4-56) was the pick of the Tew attack, but his team's slow over rate cost them one point.
Shaun Cross took 3-49 for Shipton to help put Tew on trouble, but Robbie Shurmer (50no) held his nerve to steer them to 147-9.
Shipton 16, Great & Little Tew 8
Ben Stafford (5-52) was too good for half Oxford 2nd’s batsmen, who were all out for 172 and crashed to a 52-run loss against Buckingham.
Only Nicholas Hands (36) and George Rendell (34) staved off defeat for long, before Josh Nix took 3-26 to wrap up the tail.
Earlier, Town had posted 224-6 from 50 overs thanks to Leigh Tomlinson (62), Daniel Harris (51no) and Stafford’s 43 from 44 balls.
Oxford 2nd 5, Buckingham Town 25
