MP Sports Cherwell League - Divisions 6-10

Abingdon Vale 2nd maintained their lead at the top of Division 6 with an eight-wicket victory over Cumnor 3rd.

Altamash Pervez took 4-25 in Cumnor’s 96 all out, then Rob Hood (43no) steered Vale to 100-2.

Horspath 2nd went second after beating Bletchley Town 2nd by five wickets.

Youngster Daniel Todd took 5-62 in Bletchley’s 167 all out.

Alex Eason (42), Sam Hay (37) and Dean Creed (32) then fired Horspath to 168-5.

In Division 9, Kingston Bagpuize 2nd romped to a nine-wicket victory over Brackley 2nd, with Paul Temple (47no) sealing it.

There were some fine individual displays in Division 10, helping Horspath 4th and Shipton-under-Wychwood 3rd to victories.

Ben Henderson’s 105 and Derek Watts’s unbeaten 50 took Horspath to 187-2 and an eight-wicket win over Bledlow Village 3rd.

Earlier, Hayden Moon took 5-34 in Bledlow’s 186 all out.

Josh Bishop made 100 not out from 80 balls as Shipton piled on 310-4 against Long Marston 3rd, Justin Hemming adding 69, Simon Dickens 36 and Ollie Cooper 34.

Dickens then claimed 7-42 as Marston slipped to 203 all out.
