OCA League Divisions 1-4
MIKE Hume returned figures of 8-18 as Faringdon crushed Watlington by 139 runs in Division 2.
Faringdon’s victory had been set up by a fine 102 not out from Ian McDowall, who led them to 190-7 from their 45 overs.
In reply, Watlington crashed to 51 all out in the face of Hume’s top spell.
Chris Morgan smashed a superb unbeaten century as Charlbury beat Witney Swifts by 84 runs.
Morgan’s 120 not out and Ben Geeson-Brown’s 50 helped Charlbury to 247-8.
In reply, Swifts finished on 163-9, despite George Seacole’s 40 and Omar Hussain’s 37.
Minster Lovell edged to a one-run win at Letcombe.
Robert Hipkin (56) led Minster to 197 all out, while Martin Turnbull took 5-35 and Joe Benson 4-29.
In reply, Letcombe needed only 50 to win with eight wickets left as Pat Bryan scored 83, before they collapsed to 196 all out, Ben Spencer taking 4-36.
In Division 1, Horley moved clear at the top by thumping Freeland by 165 runs.
Horley rattled up 221-9, with Matthew Keenan hitting 85.
Rob Palmer (3-8) and Alex Short (3-16) then combined as Freeland were shot out for 56.
Sam Willett’s century helped Great Horwood to a 101-run victory over Tetsworth.
Willett exactly 100 in Horwood’s 250-7, before Matt McStraw took 5-39 as basement boys Tetsworth fell to 149 all out.
East Oxford beat Garsington by 82 runs, while Westbury cruised to a nine-wicket win against Shrivenham.
In Division 3, John Bacon played a starring role in Fringford’s 14-run thrashing of Eynsham.
Bacon scored 71 in Fringford’s 245-6, Kevin Hicks leading the way with an unbeaten century.
Eynsham crashed to 96 all out as Bacon ripped through their batting line-up with 7-46.
Tim Wyatt scored 99 not out to help Stonesfield to a five-wicket win against Oxenford.
Chasing Oxenford’s 195-9, Wyatt led Stonesfield to 198-5, but could not quite make his century.
Clifton Hampden beat East & West Hendred by 80 runs.
Alistair Slay hit 79 not out in Clifton’s 250-5, before Hendred were restricted to 170-9.
Westcott edged past East Oxford 2nd by one run.
Having scored 220-9, Saghir Hussain hitting 52 not out, Westcott held on in a tight finish as East Oxford finished on 219-8, Richard Benwell returning figures of 4-43.
John Coles took 5-26 as Britwell Salome secured their first victory with a one-wicket triumph against Deddington in Division 4.
Coles’s haul restricted Deddington to 191-9, before Andy Worman and Matthew Smith both scored 50 as Britwell edged home.
Hailey were shot out for a pitiful 33 to crash to a 138-run defeat against Chadlington.
The home side had posted 171 all out, before Matt Bunney, Steve Hunt and Matthew Duester took three wickets apiece in Hailey’s sorry reply.
