Oxford City's young athletes wrapped up the overall boys and girls' titles in the Fit-2-Run Oxfordshire Track & Field League after the final round at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.

The meeting, from which they emerged with eight of the 12 possible trophies, cemented the dominance that City have shown throughout the season.

Despite missing a number of regulars, they still had enough in reserve to record a resounding victory.

In the under 17 boys' competition, the City highlight was Tom East's three personal bests.

He clocked 4mins 50.8secs to finish second in the 1500m, threw the shot 8.06m and launched the discus to 18.13m.

There were strong performances in the under 15 boys' section too, with Rhodri Edwards winning the high jump with a leap of 1.55m and the javelin with 42.43m.

Elsewhere, Tom Foxon was eight seconds inside his personal best as he finished third in the 800m in 2.20.5.

City's under 13 boys won their section comfortably, with a number of personal bests.

Marcus Woodington led the way, clocking 13.6secs to win the 75m hurdles.

In the girls' section, the under 17s comfortably won their age group, while the under 15s had top-three placings in every event, with Lizzie Berg and Shannen Cullen producing good displays in the A and B string 1500m.

City's under 13s again won their age group with victories for Emily Moore, Ellie Clarke-Jacques, Tilly Vaughan-Fowler, Hatty Taylor, Emily Carstairs and Jade Walker.

Witney Roadrunners also produced some fine performances.

George Reynolds won the under 15 boys' 800m in a personal best time of 2mins 16.8secs. He then went on to produce a throw of 8.59m in the shot. His teammate, Sam Timms, threw 7.99m in the shot.

Timms then teamed up with Ali Frew, Simon LeGood and Sam Benfield as Witney's under 15s stormed to victory in the 4x100m relay.

In the under 15 girls' competition, Alice Parsons turned on the style to scorch to victory in the 300m, while she also cleared 1.40m in the high jump.

Fellow under 15, Caroline Jenkins, picked up two personal bests with 14.25m in the discus and 5.83m in the shot.

The successes continued at under 13 level, where Rhys Morgan and Dominic Keenan were in fine form over the 100m and 200m respectively.

They were accompanied by Hadley Morgan, who took top spot in his sprint race.

New club Goring & Wallingford were well satisfied with their final-round display.

The under 11 boys' team set a new Oxfordshire League record in the 4x100m relay, clocking a time of 1min 2.7secs, while George Axon leapt to a record 4.35m in the long jump.

He also won his heat in the 80m and 600m in times of 12.1secs and 1.55.3 respectively. Connor Redpath-Diggle won the cricket ball throw with a distance of 36.81m.

The team also won several field events in the under 15 boys' competition.
