OXFORD promoter Aaron Lanney says he is still determined to make a success out of his time at Cowley despite a trying first season in charge.
He said: "I'm no quitter and I have absolutely no regrets about taking over the club. It's been an amazing challenge, and still is, and I remain determined to make it work here.
"It's a great club and the loyal supporters are wonderful, they have been behind me all the way. I just wish there were a few more of them!"
CHEETAHS' top man Todd Wiltshire produced an immaculate performance to win the Bordernapolis Individual meeting at Berwick's Shielfield Park circuit on Sunday.
The Australian set out his intent by winning the opening heat in 66.8 seconds.
He then set the fastest time in heat four, roaring across the line in 66.6secs.
Wiltshire went on to record victories in his next two qualifying heats, thus putting him straight through to the final on 12 points, along with fellow Australian, Glasgow's Shane Parker who dropped his only point when beaten by Todd in heat seven.
The next highest four scorers from the qualifying heats England international Simon Stead, Czech Adrian Rymel and two more Australians Kevin Doolan of King's Lynn and former Oxford rider Travis McGowan went into a last-gasp semi-final, with only the first two making the four-man final.
Wiltshire, who started from the outside grid, then powered to an impressive victory ahead of Parker, Stead and Rymel to take the title.
