James Upham’s fine figures of 5-4 helped Oxford A to a 66-run victory over Buscot Park in the third round of the Oxfordshire Under 13 Ron Maudsley Trophy.
Oxford were again in the runs as they rattled up 162-2, Nick Lancaster making 32 not out and Freddy Campbell 30 not out.
Upham then took over with the ball as Buscott were shot out for 56.
Carla Wood took 4-6 for Freeland as Sutton Courtenay slumped to 53-8, Freeland knocking off the runs for two wickets.
Cumnor edged out Challow & Childrey by two runs.
Callum Russell (30no) led Cumnor to 109-6.
An unbeaten 32 from Harvey Eltham put Challow on course and they needed three runs to win off the last three balls.
But two run-outs saw them dismissed two runs short.
There was another nail-biting finish at Shipton, where visitors Ducklington posted 104-5, Tom Costley hitting 31 not out.
James Bower put Shipton on course with 28, and they scrambled home by one wicket.
Westbury saw off Combe by 13 runs after posting 122-3, Ben Gascoigne hitting 33 not out and Archie Mansfield 30 not out.
Combe finished on 109-9.
