Banbury's Gary Boyd qualified for next month’s US Open at Pebble Beach after impressing at Walton Heath.
The 23-year-old Cherwell Edge player finished tied third on eight-under-par after 36 holes at the Surrey course.
Rounds of 67 and 69 earned Boyd his passage to the season’s second major.
While Boyd qualified, newly-crowned BMW PGA champion Simon Khan lost out in a play-off and Ryder Cup stars Colin Montgomeries and Darren Clarke were further adrift.
