North Oxford duo Brian England and Colin McNulty carded a record score to win Five Star Events’ Liz Harris Cup at Tadmarton Heath.
They bagged 49 stableford points in the first event of the charity series’ 2010 schedule to pip Graham Hobbins and David Oakley, who scored 48.
Andy Cassettari and Bernie Pike were third on 47, ahead of Bob McCrae and Charles Blowfield on 45.
McCrae and Frilford Heath trio Richard Pineo, Barrie Hunt and Cecil Jackson won special prizes in the event sponsored by Les Harris of Luxicars.
This year’s charity is Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, in memory of Phil Garner.
The next event is the Phil Garner Memorial Trophy at Burford on June 17.
