BANBURY racer Will Bratt is relishing a return visit to Monza in Italy this weekend, for the fifth and sixth rounds of the FIA Formula 2 championship.
After a maiden podium finish in Marrakech, the 22-year-old, who is fourth in the title race, is confident of success.
Monza was the scene of his Party Poker Racing Euro-series 3000 title triumph last October when a win and second place finish secured the title. He also won the Italian Formula 3000 crown.
“We had a near perfect weekend at Monza last year in Euroseries 3000,” said Bratt, “The track holds some fantastic memories for me, so hopefully this year’s visit will be pretty successful too.
“It was great to take my first F2 podium in Marrakech and the aim is to build on that next weekend, I’m really looking forward to going back.
“I’m getting more and more settled with the car and learning how to get the most from it.
“We’re moving in the right direction and I think a couple of podium finishes is a realistic goal.”
