LLOYD Sabin was in imperious form for Oxfordshire Under 16s, but rain ruined his side’s latest match against Magdalen College School.
Captain Sabin lost the toss and his side were inserted on a wicket that seemed to offer something for the bowlers.
But Sabin made light work of the overcast conditions as he raced to 72 not out from just 62 balls.
His knock included ten boundaries.
Oxon had lost an early wicket when Ross Barrett was bowled, but debutant Anas Ahmed, after a nervy start, looked a more than capable No 3 as he reached 28 not out before the rain came with Oxon at 124-1.
