OXFORD A rewrote the record books, recording 194-5 in their Under 13 Ron Maudsley Trophy match against Oxford Downs – the highest team total in the competition’s history.
The blitz was led by Max Heath and Freddy Campbell , who both hit 32, backed up by Hamish Currie (30) and James Fitzjohn (28).
In reply, Oxford Downs reached 90-6, led by William Routledge (34no).
Shipton-under-Wychwood rattled up 163-2 against Oxford B, with Jamie Nelson, Jack Davies, Josh Herbert and Harry Lewis all making 33.
Oxford were then bowled out for just 40, Chris Holmes taking 5-2.
Buscot Park racked up 157-5 against Witney Swifts, with Jeremy Kirby and George Liddiard making 30 apiece.
Swifts were skittled out for 37, Alex Edgington returning figures of 3-2.
Cumnor were in imperious form as they scored 140-0 against Great & Little Tew.
Four batsmen reached the retirement figure of 30, Harry Ackland, Callum Russell, Oliver Gray and Max Mannering all finding top form.
Tew replied with 98-8.
