Oxford United boss Chris Wilder hopes to tie up new contracts for Wembley heroes Jake Wright, Alfie Potter and Matt Green.
All three players have been on loan to the U’s this season, with Potter and Green on season-long stays from Peterborough United and Torquay United respectively.
Wright joined in January until the end of the season on loan from Brighton.
The 24-year-old centre back was exceptional in defence during United’s magnificent 3-1 Blue Square Premier play-off final victory over York City on Sunday, with Green getting the important opening goal, and Potter the clinching third.
The trio have said they want to stay at Oxford, although there was some suggestion that Torquay might want Green back.
Wright proved himself arguably the best left-footed centre back in the division with some superb displays alongside Mark Creighton.
Potter, a skilful winger who loves to take players on, was deadly when coming off the bench and scored six times for the U’s, while Green, such a threat with his speed off the mark, finished as United’s second top scorer, on 14 goals.
Contract talks are likely to take place this week before the players start heading off for their holidays.
Wilder says a lot of them are just trying to get used to the team’s promotion to League Two, and being back in the Football League.
“It’s a career-changing situation for the players and I’m proud of them,” said the U’s boss after the match.
“We’ve done this with good players, most of whom have experience of the League, and the character they’ve shown has been first class.”
James Constable, scorer of the second goal, said: “It’s been a tough season, but we always knew we could do it.
“I’m still having to pinch myself to believe it though – it’s fantastic.”
