West Ilsley trainer Mick Channon believes Music Show has a great chance in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh on Sunday.
The three-year-old filly was sixth behind the promoted Special Duty in the Newmarket equivalent, having won the Nell Gwyn Stakes at the same venue on her seasonal reappearance.
Channon feels she has come on again for her latest outing – when she wasn’t helped by being drawn on the wrong side of the track – and is hoping for good ground at the County Kildare course.
He said: “She came out of the Guineas in good heart and has certainly improved since Newmarket.
“We feel she stands a great chance although we are at the mercy of the weather as I wouldn’t want the ground to be too soft for her.”
