Abi Currie smashed a brilliant century as Oxfordshire Under 15 girls got their ECB County Championship campaign off to a winning start.
Oxfordshire won the match against Berkshire by 87 runs, with Currie’s maiden century being the undoubted highlight of a super display.
Currie’s ton came from 114 balls with 13 fours as Oxon rattled up a formidable 195-3 from their allotted 35 overs.
Berkshire never got going in their reply, and with Laura Marshall, Abigail Flory and Carla Wood on fire with three wickets apiece, Oxfordshire bowled their opponents out for just 108 to complete a well-deserved victory.
