HCL left hand page OM july 3 CRICKET HOME COUNTIES PREMIER LEAGUE Thame Town were involved in remarkably high-scoring game at Wokingham and could scarcely believe it as they crashed to an eight-wicket defeat.
With prolific run scorer Manoj Parmar leading the way with 119, Thame pummelled the bowling to all parts of the parched outfield to score 334-7 from their 60-overs allocation.
The visitors might have declared early in normal circumstances, but this was no normal match as they were soon to discover.
Wokingham actually knocked off the runs for the loss of two wickets with a full six overs to spare.
Leading the charge were Martin Bushell, with 114 not out, and talented all-rounder Simon Myles with an unbeaten 94.
By the end of the day, Thame's bowlers knew just what it was like to be England's bowlers in the one-day international against Sri Lanka on the same day.
