Crisis club Bicester & North Oxford put their off-the-field woes behind them by having the better of a draw with Stokenchurch at Chesterton.

Oxfordshire Under 17 player Richard Simpson hit 51 and Paul Maddock took 3-77 in the home side’s 217-6.

That total proved to be more than enough despite Maddock’s 47 and a useful knock of 41 by Stefan Read as Stokenchurch closed on 172-8.

Bicester were deducted three points for their slow over rate.
