An opening partnership of 88 between Julian Hitchman (49) and Vishane Perera (80no), backed up by Richard Cook’s unbeaten 62, set Challow & Childrey 2nd on their way to 252-2 dec against Didcot.
The total was all the more impressive as rain reduced their innings to 46 overs – but they used only 43.
Challow slipped to 48-4 and were heading for a heavy defeat, but Clive Robson (62no) held his nerve as the hosts closed on 161-9.

Andy Darby (57no) and Robbie Shurmer (51no) steered Great & Little Tew 2nd to an easy win at home to Bledlow Ridge 2nd.
Ridge had been rolled over for 128, with Michael Darby taking 4-31, before Tew recovered from the loss of two early wickets to reach 132-2 in the 21st over.

Paul Hemming (81) and Chris Brain (65) were the mainstays of Shipton 2nd’s 261-7 at home to Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd.
Shipton were glad they declared after 44 overs as Nondies hung on for 51 overs in reply, before succumbing with time running out for 135.
Andy Haynes top-scored with 42, while Jason Hunt took 4-10.

Thame Town 2nd made 141-7 off 44 overs, thanks to Ed Barnet (69no) and David Brooks (45) against Banbury 3rd, who were on 104-4 from 30 overs when bad light intervened.

Tiddington 2nd managed 142-8 from 40 overs against Brackley before rain prevented any further action.
Neil Smith had scored 56 and Keith Cartwright taken 3-45, but no further action was possible.
