North Oxford A ensured there were no embarrassing slip-ups in Mixed Division 1 of the 3-Pair League with an 8-1 victory over their B side.
In a one-sided encounter, Jonathan Maskens and Emma Tolson had little trouble in winning all three rubbers at first pair.
Robin Ashby and Kate Calnan were also unbeaten at No 2, but were given a scare by Dave Rooney and Julia Brown, before running out 7-6, 7-6 winners.
Rob Loosemore and Julie Wood dropped two halves at No 3 pair.
Things were just as one-sided in the match between Woodstock B and Bicester, the latter winning 7.5-1.5.
Ashley Prior and Nicki Bracewell cruised to three straight-set victories at No 1 pair, with Woodstock's Pete Westell and Linda Moly- neaux winning their side's only match.
In Division 2, Oxford City B crushed Thame A 8-1.
Thame's first pair of Richard Bradley and Fiona Pigeon claimed two halves, but the City team proved too strong.
Antony Di Pinto, Tamsin Langerishe, Adrian Roberts, Nicky Thrupp, Richard Stacey and Jess Stacey secured a convincing victory for their side.
