Oxford Cavaliers are confident they will be able to field a side for the South West and Midlands Division of the Totalrl.com Conference clash against Coventry Bears at Marston Ferry Road tomorrow (1pm).
It comes after Cavaliers suffered the embarrassment of forfeiting a game for the second time this season against Gloucester Warriors last weekend as they were unable to field a side.
However, training was well attended on Wednesday, with captain Mark Lester among those returning following the birth of his daughter.
Full back Rob Kenny is likely to be out, but Aston Martin engineer Andy Allison is set to return after being sidelined due to work commitments.
John Conway also returns to the centre, but brother Sean is out for the rest of the season. Prop Mark Shaw is rated 50/50.
The match is a double-header following the abandonment of the game at Coventry earlier in the season due to a waterlogged pitch and will count for four points.
Hooker Guy Elliott is in confident mood.
"I am going to show Coventry how to play," he said. "We have a great team here and we are getting better each game. We are not going to be happy with anything but all four points."
