Bicester & North Oxford stay bottom of the table after an eight-wicket defeat at leaders Farnham Royal on Saturday their fourth reverse in seven outings.

The home side won the toss and elected to field on a slow pitch with variable bounce and their decision was soon vindicated as Darryl Woods and Alex Jewell were dismissed cheaply.

A composed 57 from Shiv Talsania held the Bicester innings together and he received good support from Charlie Blair and Matt Collins.

Gary Sansome chipped in with 24, but the final total of 168 never looked enough in view of Bicester's depleted bowling attack.

Danny Simpson and Warren Miller put on 74 for Royal's first wicket in 14 overs.

Ian Bryan caught and bowled Miller for 22, but then Khan quickly upped the tempo with an aggressive 58.

Although Bryan bowled Simpson for 59 to finish with 2-40, Farnham romped home in just 25 overs.
