Oxford City and Oxford Sports maintained their 100 per cent records in Ladies Division 1 of the 3-Pair League.
But Cholsey saw their unbeaten run ended by Banbury West End, who recorded their first win of the season.
City thrashed Goring 8-1, while Sports edged home against Woodstock both sides owing victory to fine performances from their top two pairs.
Esther Symmonds and Barbara Gibbins were unbeaten at first pair, with Karen Last and Jo Love also recording a clean sweep at No 2.
Tamsin Langrishe and Jess Stacey won two rubbers halving against Goring's top two pairs.
City are defending champions, and have set out their stall to retain the title with some impressive displays.
Sports, meanwhile, were made to work hard by Woodstock.
With their third pair of Cara Hogben and Millie Milsom only picking up a half, it was left to the consistent Cressida Henderson and Karey Coltart at No 1 pair, and Maggie Edwards and Jane Westell at No 2 to get their side home both won two-and-a-half rubbers.
Henderson and Coltart dropped a set to Nicola Casey and Shirley Morley, while Edwards and Westell's only slip came against Liz Gilkes and June Lancefield.
Banbury West End's win over Cholsey came after an opening-round blitz.
All three pairs won their opening match to put their side into a commanding lead.
Although Cholsey hit back with a 2-1 second-round success, West End's top pair of Karen Taylor and Claire Abbott clinched the crucial fifth rubber and completed their own clean sweep to ensure victory.
In the only Men's Division 1 game, Goring and Witney shared the spoils in a draw.
Witney's top pair of Mark Adam and Chris Gregory won all three rubbers, but with the hosts clinched two out of the final three matches to snatch a draw.
