Eddie Pepperell, the England junior international from Frilford Heath, made it to the final day of the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Amateur Championship at Ellesborough.
Pepperell, 15, fired two rounds of 73 to become one of 17 qualifiers for the final 36 holes.
His last two rounds of 74 and 81 gave him a total of 301 for equal last place. This was 16 shots behind the winner Ellesborough's Tom Lawson The top Oxfordshire competitor was Chipping Norton's Mathew Johnson, who came a highly creditable third on 285.
