Thw Ladies Division 1 title is too close to call in the Wilson OLTA 2-Pair League, with five teams separated by just two points.
Incredibly, five matches have ended as draws so far this season with only three in the whole of last year ending all-square.
There was no splitting Benson and Watlington when top met bottom in the closest match of the campaign.
Both opening rubbers were halved, meaning the final result would hinge on the final round.
And the games were nail-biting affairs.
Both went to three-sets, and both went to final-set tie-breaks.
Benson's Samantha Quinn and Ally Bremner beat Anne Dawson and Margy Smith 6-1, 5-7, 7-6, but Watlington's Anne Ollivant and Alex Tabbitt ran out 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 winners over Judy Coyne and Maxine Perkins to halve the match.
It was Watlington's first point of the season, and was enough to knock Benson off the top.
They are replaced by Wantage, who beat Faringdon 3.5-.5 denying the losers the chance to take over.
Dee Jones and Carole Smythe won both rubbers for Wantage, with Frances Wassell and Judi Wilde claiming one-and-a-half.
Kingston Bagpuize and Banbury West End are two points off the leaders after both enjoyed 3-1 victories.
Bagpuize beat Abingdon, with Sue Emanuel and Vanessa Hammond unbeaten, while West End were too strong for Goring.
Alison Gout and Andi Padbury were their leading performers.
