Oxfordshire opened their account in the Home Counties League with a 121-110 win over Sussex at South Oxford.
Having been hammered 137-106 by Surrey in their opener, Oxon bounced back by winning on four of the six rinks against Sussex.
Oxon always held the upper hand, although they were only four shots ahead after 15 ends.
Baden Sparkes, the county's Middleton Cup captain, and his four of Andy McIntyre, Kevin Alder and Mike Petersen led the way with a 35-21 win over skip Ken Woodcock.
Calvin Carpenter's rink of Spencer Townsend, Richard Redford and Gordon Roper also had a convincing success, beating skip Simon Pettingel 23-15.
Howard Watts's quartet of Mick Nash, Nathan Lewis and Robin Hewson fought back to beat skip Mark Jones 19-16.
Trailing 14-10 after 15 ends, they rallied in good style to chalk up a three-shot victory.
Robert Clanfield's quartet of Trevor Prew, Glyn Coggon and Paul Comley made the most of an early lead to beat skip Andy Smalldridge 16-12.
By contrast, Mark Sykes's side of Gordon Hooker, Joe Wylie and Mervyn Gleeson saw their mid-game advantage disappear as they went down 25-19 to skip Dave Hubbard.
They led 12-8 after ten ends, but were unable to stave off a Sussex fightback.
Ryan Buckett's four of Paul McGrath, Melvin Brain and Barry Lambourne were always struggling as they went down 21-9 to skip Derek Dyer.
