Banbury A wrapped up the Division 1 title with a nerve-jangling six-run victory over Banbury Twenty in the Banbury Indoor League.
Batting first, Simon Launder’s 32 helped Banbury to 92 all out.
Twenty came close in their reply, but were dismissed for 86, Ross Freeman claiming 2-22.
At the other end of the table, Byfield secured their Division 1 status with a comfortable 19-run success against Hook Norton.
In a high-scoring affair, Billy Adkins (38) and Matty Kirkham (27) helped Byfield to a formidable 143-5 in their ten overs.
Dan White hit 30 in Hooky’s reply, but they finished short on 124-6.
Preston Capes finished with an impressive 30-run victory over Banbury.
Dave Hawkes (44no) and Rob Williams (36no) shone as Capes rattled up 133-4.
Youngster Charlie Hill top-scored with 23 in Banbury’s reply, but they were restricted to 101-4.
Charlbury were relegated to Division 2 after a 16-run defeat against Great & Little Tew.
Lloyd Brock hit 36 not out and Harry Smith 31 as Tew posted 100-5 in their ten overs.
Charlbury fell to 84 in reply, Anthony Smith taking 3-23 and Ian Bryan 2-15.
