Omar Hussain starred with bat and ball, but still finished on the losing side as Witney Swifts lost to Oxford Caribbean by four runs in a thrilling OCA League Division 1 encounter on the Leys.

Batting first, Caribbean struggled to 175 all out, with Hussain claiming 4-40 and Alan Williams 3-17.

But Swifts found the going just as tough in the face of some tight bowling, only Hussain (75) really getting going.

Swifts needed a six to win off the final ball, but couldn't manage it.

Minster Lovell secured a 119-run victory over Horley. Charlie Yates (69) and Lee Keyes (52) helped Minster to 243-8, then Shaun Cross (4-36) and Matt Green (3-32) combined to dismiss Horley for 124.

Westbury rattled up a daunting 298-7 in their clash with Charlbury, running out 84-run winners.

Richard Tredwell top-scored with 68 in Westbury's innings, and Charlbury could not keep up with the run rate, despite 49 from Ashley Rump.

Great Horwood edged out Hook Norton by two wickets.

Melvyn Riley hit 64 in Hooky's 196-8, but Stuart Parker (61) and Gary Lee (35) helped Horwood over the line.

In Division 2, a starring role from Jim McGeowan couldn't save Marcham from a 44-run defeat against Garsington. Keith Parsler (67) helped Garsington to 194-8, McGeowan claiming 4-39.

McGeowan then hit 32 in Marcham's reply, but they were shot out for 150, Mark Wakefield taking 3-28 and Clive Woodward 3-41.

Michael Hume was the hero for Faringdon in their 22-run victory over Eynsham.

He top-scored with 65 not out after being dropped early on as Faringdon were restricted to 133-9.

Hume then took centre-stage with the ball, claiming fantastic figures of 7-47 to bowl Eynsham out for 111.

Brill crushed Broughton & North Newington by 114 runs.

Having posted 208-9, Broughton were skittled for 94, Darren Kavanagh taking 4-26.

In Division 3, Julian Hitchman smashed a superb century for East & West Hendred in their 16-run win against Radley. Hendred were dismissed for 214, Darren Jones taking 4-17.

Jones then scored 70 as Radley chased down the target, but they fell short on 198-9.

Clifton Hampden ran out five-wicket winners at home to West Witney. Stuart Sutcliffe (49) helped West Witney to 170 all out, but Morley Benson (52) and Dave Barber (35) saw Clifton over the winning line.

Stonesfield beat Combe by five wickets.

Phil Slatter (3-25) and Mark Wheeler (3-34) combined to restrict Combe to 168-9, then George Redknap (59) helped Stonesfield to victory.

Damian Wiskin claimed 5-24 as Wootton & Boars Hill thrashed Deddington by 138 runs.

Wootton had rattled up 210-9, before Wiskin helped to dismiss Deddington for just 72.

Seamer Mohammad Sarfraz claimed another five-wicket haul as East Oxfordsaw off Fringford by 44 runs.

Amir Butt (42) saw East Oxford to 149 all out, before Sarfraz took 5-20 as Fringford were made 105.

Hailey defeated Great Horwood 2nd by 22 runs.

Paul King (72) and Sean King (38) shone in Hailey's total of 185, then Steve Hazell (4-36) and Andy Woods (4-69) combined to bowl Horwood out for 163.

In Division 6, Chadlington eased to a seven-wicket win at home to Minster Lovell 2nd, while Chipping Norton saw off Risinghurst by five wickets.Steve Thompson hit 103 to help his side to 222-6 against Stanton Harcourt. Richard Varley then claimed 3-32 as Stanton Harcourt were dismissed for 143 in reply.

In Division 9, Andy Walker took 5-20 and Ian Luckett 4-12 as Ducklington saw off Westcott 2nd by nine wickets.
