Abingdon Amblers finished a creditable third when they hosted the Southern League Division 2 meeting at Tilsley Park on Saturday.
Having been promoted from Division 3 last season, Abingdon can be well-satisfied with this performance, as they fielded a record 17 athletes.
Manager Jean-Luc Coudre included some of Abingdon's promising youngsters, and they did not disappoint.
Luke Chown won the 200m with a club record 22.4, and wrapped up a sprint double with victory in the 100m, clocking 11.2secs.
Jonny Lodowski also grabbed a notable double, landing the 400m flat and hurdles in times of 51.9 and 56.2secs respectively.
Other wins came from Brendan Fisher, who leapt 6.42m in the long jump, while Paul Fernandez and Steve Blezard took victory in the A and B string 3,000m steeplechase events.
Fernandezshowed his tremendous stamina by later clocking a personal best of 16.15.9 in the 5,000m.
Other winning performances in the field came from Jonathan Phillips and Steve Pomeroy, who won the A and B string javelin respectively.
