Didcot Barramundi's first international, Alex Murphy (above), gained a bronze when competing for England Sc-hools against Wales, Ireland and Scotland at Glasgow.
The 14-year-old recorded 1min 8.44 secs to come third in the intermediate 100 metres breaststroke The King Alfred’s, Wantage, pupil also helped England to win gold in the relay.
Meanwhile, City of Oxford captain Carly Hayles, 17, won the open 100m butterfly in round three of the Home Counties league in Aylesbury.
Hayles touched in 1min 8.5secs to help City finish second.
Alex Chung, 12, won the 50m breaststroke (39.09), with India Mattocks, ten, claiming the 50m freestyle (34.50).
In the boys’ age groups, Will Cross, ten, came first in the 50m breaststroke (40.19) and Josh Harrop, 14, triumphed in the 100m freestyle (58.74).
The under 15 year old girls 4 x50m medley relay team of Georgina King-Smith, Elizabeth Oliver, Sarah Gould and Molly Williamson stormed to victory in 2.16.17 secs.
Result: Maxwell 252, Oxford 197, Witney 174, Luton 168, Aylesbury 126, Leighton Buzzard 125.
