MCCA Trophy: Oxfordshire are looking to build on their efforts against Wiltshire when they host Hertfordshire at Aston Rowant on Sunday.

Having beaten Wilts in match one, victory over Herts would leave them in a strong position at the top of Group 4 in the new-look competition.

The hosts include five Oxford players in Adam Cook, Stewart Laudat, Joe Porter, Philip Evans and Jack Brooks.

There is a first competitive start for Abingdon Vale spinner Paul White, while batsman Richard Kaufman (pictured) makes the trip back from Cardiff.

Captain Ian Hawtin said: "We have got off to a good start. Hopefully we can perform in a similar way to that on Sunday.

"There are a few players that are not available due to work commitments, but we still have a strong line-up.

"We have a big squad this year and that is important."

The group format gives minor counties more match practice, but comes at the expense of places in the C & G Trophy.

Hawtin said: "I was a bit disapointed by this because going on our finish last year, we would have played one of the first-class counties this time.

"On the other hand it does enable us to play against sides from the championships' Eastern Divison, which we wouldn't normally do."

Oxfordshire (v Hertfordshire, home): Mustow (Cheltenham), Cook, Laudat (both Oxford), Hewitt (Sudbury), Hawtin (Banbury), Porter (Oxford), Arnold (Banbury Twenty), P Evans, J Brooks (both Oxford), White (Abingdon Vale), Kaufman (Banbury).
