HOME COUNTIES PREMIER LEAGUE: New Henley captain Bjorn Mordt says they must start well if they are to challenge for the title again.
And Mordt, who will bat at No 3 in tomorrow's opening game at Tring Park, is "quietly confident" for the season ahead.
He said: "It's very important for us to get off to a good start.
"When we won the league in 2004 we won the first six games.
"We are not facing any of the big sides until four or five weeks in.
"We've got a good squad and the average age has gone down, which is always good for the fielding."
Henley have lost all-rounder Dave Taylor to Bradford League side Undercliffe, but Mordt is expecting big things from new signings Tom Lambert and Todd Ferguson.
Henley (v Tring Park, away): Mordt (capt), Ellison, Barber, Ferguson, Allaway, Hogg, Murphy, Sana, Powell, Lambert, Chamberlain.
