CHIPPING Norton's youngsters continued their impressive form in Section 1 with a 3-0 drubbing of Ellesborough.

Having defeated defending champions Oxford City last time out, they now look like posing a real title threat.

Andy Johnson and Tim Reynolds cruised past Rod Crisp and James Mortimer 4 & 3 in match one.

The second match was far closer with Andy Helby and Matt Johnson pipping Nigel Purdy and Ray Wootton on the 18th green.

Shaun Kench and Stuart Allen wrapped up the four points with a comfortable 4 & 2 victory.

Chippy lie three points behind leaders City, who bagged a home whitewash against Studley Wood.

Ian Bound and Adam Wootton were their top performers with a 5 & 3 victory over Austin Siggers and Darren Drew.

John Summers and Larry Holder beat Steve Jenkins and Craig Drew at the final hole, while Mark Hall and Jon Payne won 2 & 1.
