CHIPPING Norton dramatically defeated defending champions Oxford City 2.5-0.5 in Section 1 of the Shaw & Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League.
Their victory inflicted City's first reverse of the season and all three matches went down to the final green.
Chippy's Andrew Johnson and Tom Woolley halved match one with David Summers and Mark Hall.
But 18th-hole birdies from Andrew Helby and Matt Johnson and Shaun Kench and Stuart Allen sealed the points for the hosts.
