Oxford City got off to an excellent start in their first Southern Division 1 West match in the UK Young Athletes League at Horspath.
They finished a creditable second in Sunday's meeting, well above their expectations, after a host of good performances.
Pride of place went to the under 13 boys' team, who collected an amazing 15 victories in 17 events.
The individual highlight came from Kirsty Warland, who gained a 100m/75m hurdles double in the under 15 girls' competition.
She was well supported by teammates Rosie Rust (1,500m) and Hannah Webster (200m).
The under 17 ladies' star was Natalie Delahunty, who won the long jump and triple jump as well as the B string 75m hurdles, while newcomer Natalie Venn recorded second in the A string javelin and first in the B string high jump.
The seven under 13 boys had a memorable day, with every one achieving at least two first places.
The under 15s, however, struggled, although there was a double discus victory for Sam Kelly and Craig Luke.
Although light on numbers, the under 17 men performed well against strong opposition.
Joseph Allison bagged a sprint double, winning the 100 and 200m, while David Gain claimed a B string double in the same events.
Ian Castle weighed in with victory in the javelin.
Result: 1 Marshall Milton Keynes 421pts, 2 Oxford City 377, 3 Dacorum & Tring 257, 4 Chichester 207.
