Horley got off to a flying start in OCA Division 1 as they defeated Hook Norton by six wickets on Saturday.
Batting first, Hook Norton were quickly rolled over for 122, only Nick Leader (31) getting going.
For Horley, Keith Palmer claimed 4-38 and Nick Tarrant 3-20.
Tarrant then hit 42 not out as Horley eased to victory, despite fine figures of 4-18 by Gary Edwards.
Great Horwood began the season in fine style as they rattled up a formidable 267-8 in their 81-run victory overMinster Lovell. Horwood lost their first wicket before a run had been scored, but stands of 81, 53 and 63 put them in a strong position, Stuart Parker hitting 72 and Neil Hogston 50.
In reply, Minster batted steadily, but never came to terms with the pace of Simon Ridgway (3-21).
Neil Spearman top-scored for Minster with 58, while 17-year-old Nathan Harris posted a useful 34 as Minster closed on 186-8.
