Appleton lifted the North Berks league's War Memorial Cup after battling back to beat Wootton & Dry Sandford in the final at Wantage Town,.
Third Division champions Wootton took the lead on six minutes through Jonathan Weir's 25-yard shot into the top corner.
Steve Roberts equalised for Appleton after heading in a long throw from Andy Cooper.
Just before the break, Wootton's Wayne Morton went close.
After the break, Mark Loveridge fired wide of Appleton's goal, before George Casserly went close.
Then in the final minute, Roberts got the winner when he headed in another long throw from Cooper.
In the league, it's tight at the top in Division 1, with three teams vying for the championship in the final week.
Lambourn took over at the top as they came from behind to beat releagtion-threatened Grove Rangers 3-2.
Ian Gordon gave Grove a first-half lead, before Lambourn hit back for victory through Ben Hopkins, Marc Fletcher and Toby Kimber. Late on, Chris Whitworth pulled a goal back for Grove.
Drayton staged an amazing injury-time comeback to beat Coleshill United 4-3.
Christian Ayres' opener for Coleshill was cancelled out by Danny Curran, only for the former to restore Coleshill's lead.
In the second half, Curran levelled, and Sam Thomas thought he had won it, before an Adam Godwin double saw Drayton snatch victory late on.
In Division 2, Shrivenham A boosted their hopes of taking the runners-up slot after a 3-1 win at Saxton Rovers Res. Sutton Courtenay returned from Lambourn Res with a 2-0 victory that keeps them in fourth place.
Dave Carter and Carl Bolton with his first touch scored the goals leaving them just ahead of Kintbury Rangers Res who walloped Northcroft by 4-0.
Richard Guy scored a double to add to his hat-trick in their 3-0 midweek win over Sutton.
In Division 3, Jake Chaffey bagged four goals as Didcot Casuals jump into fourth place following a 5-4 win over Ardington & Lockinge Res. The scorers for Ardington were Scott Barnes (2), Adam Hogan and James Buchanan while Wayne Jacks scored Casuals' other goal.
Stanford-in-the-Vale's 1-1 draw at home to Kingsclere means that Blewbury Res are confirmed as the runners-up. Jason Evans netted for Stanford with Tom Collins on target for Kingsclere.
Lee Moss was on target for Faringdon Town Res as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Blewbury Res.
