DEFENDING champions Oxford City continue to set the pace in Section 1 of the Shaw & Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League.
Their 2-1 home victory over newly-promoted Tadmarton Heath was their third in a row and could have been a second successive whitewash.
Larry Holder and Adam Wootton cruised past Spencer Hallam and Owen King 5 & 4 in match one, but the other two clashes finished in halves.
City's David Summers and Mark Hall birdied the 17th to go one up against Iain Manning and Andrew Mason.
They could not hold on, however, as Manning and Mason won the last, also with a birdie.
City's John Summers and John Payne were two up with two to play, but Mark Hughes sealed the 17th with an eight-iron to one foot.
And he and Roger Mawle completed the comeback when their opponents found the bunker on the last.
Drayton Park made it two draws from two in Section 2 after halving their home game with Buckingham.
Andy Elmey and Martin Roberts levelled with a 3 & 2 victory in match two, but Barry James and Joe Pepperell had to be content with a draw in match three.
