Oxford City 1, Leverstock Green 0: Oxford City picked up their first trophy of the season when winning the Spartan League Premier Division Cup final at Hillingdon Borough last night.
The only goal came early on, after ten minutes, following a fine attack from City.
Ray Spence headed on to Danny Keen, who in turn set up Harry Burnley to score from close range.
City were having most of the play but goal chances were hard to come by.
The few goalscoring opportunities that opponents Leverstock Green created were mainly off target, as City defended solidly.
In the second half, Milan Barisic, the Oxford City keeper, pulled off an excellent save to deny Leverstock an equaliser.
With five minutes to go, Oxford City might have added to the score when Spence set up Justin Miller, but the second-half substitute put his effort over the bar from close in.
Oxford City: Barisic, Durrant, Steedman, Merritt, Marriott, Brandon, Douglas, Jones (Pilling 85), Keen (Miller 73), Spence, Burnley (Gardner 80). Subs not used: Craker, Wilkins.
Referee: A Degnarain (Southgate).
