Oxfordshire Senior League: Barry Hayden was the hero for Berinsfield as his late winner saw them lift the President's Cup with a 1-0 victory against Enstone.
In a goalless first half, both sides were guilty of missing good chances.
With just minutes remaining, it looked like extra-time was on the cards until player-manager Bateman, on as substitute, flicked the ball on for Hayden to fire the winner with an unstoppable 20 yard effort.
In the league, Dean Simms hammered a hat-trick as Rover Cowley brought in-form Adderbury Park down to earth with a 5-1 victory.
Simms bagged a brace to put Rover in control.
In the second half, Park pulled a goal back, only for a Stewart McCleary double to give Rover a 4-1.
Simms then completed his treble to compound Park's misery.
Title favourites Oxford University Press suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at Eynsham.
Leaders OUP took a first-half lead through Dan Leggett's penalty, before substitute John Crump equalised with ten minutes left.
Steve Green then hit the winner from 25 yards.
Craig Barrett bagged a brace as Charlton United ended their four-game goal drought with a 3-2 success against Long Crendon.
Danny Mann got the other, while Tim Rantle (2) replied.
A goal from Richard McCabe, his first of the season, secured a 1-0 victory for Chadlington against Watlington.
BCS Bardwell threw away the lead as they lost 2-1 at home to Berinsfield.
Pete Allison had given Bardwell an early lead, only for Berinsfield to hit back for victory. To increase their woes, Alwyn Thompson was sent off late on.
In midweek, Bardwell put a massive dent in Launton Sports' title hopes with a 5-2 victory against their derby rivals.
Sam Donaldson netted the opener for Launton.
However, they suffered a blow when Jason Bedford was sent off after ten minutes.
And their woes increased when Paul Anderson levelled after Launton keeper Chris Beckhurst had kept out Ian Edge's initial shot.
In the second half, Bardwell took the lead with Anderson's second, before Chris Please increased their advantage from the penalty spot after he was felled.
It was all over for Launton when Bardwell substitute Pete Allison notched a double, the first after a shot on the run, the second a far post header.
Although Lee Thomas reduced the arrears from the spot, it was too late.
In Division 1, Horspath thrashed Yarnton 4-1.
An own goal gave Horspath the lead and Paul Flack made it 2-0, before Yarnton pegged them back.
Second-half goals from Jonny Roberts and Paul Cooper sealed victory.
Andy Brown bagged a brace as Worcester & Bletchington beat Middleton Cheney 3-1.
Early on, Middleton keeper Charlie Wright to save Steve Mullcock's penalty.
Cheney took the lead after the break through John Cooper, before Brown's double put Bletch 2-1 up.
Stuart Clark hit No 3, before Brown missed a penalty.
Old Salesians crushed Kings Sutton 5-2, thanks to goals from Tim Small (2), Steve Brennan, Martin Heath and James Reeves. Sutton then netted two late consolations.
Division 2A champions Marston Res had to come from behind as they beat Chadlington Res 2-1.
Freddie Magee gave Chadlington a first-half lead, only for Marston to hit back in the second half.
