Thame Utd 0, Dunstable Tn 0:

A superb performance from goalkeeper Paul Searl earned Thame United their first league clean sheet of the season in Southern League Division 1 West.

Thame, who gave a debut to 42-year-old former England midfielder Neil Webb playing his first competitive game for nine years came under severe pressure.

Searl's best save of a frantic first half was on 30 minutes when he dived bravely at the feet of Ben Smith.

After the break, Thame came more into the contest and were unlucky not to win a penalty on 52 minutes when Adam Rhodes was felled.

Searl then made a save from point-blank range before Ben Connolly had Thame's best chance, only for his control to let him down at the crucial moment.

On 64 minutes, Searl made another great stop to deny James Hatch from close in, and he saved a long-range effort late on.

Thame: Searl, Way, N Rhodes, Hocking, Lane, Connelly, Fisher, Webb (Groves 64), Moore, Hamilton, A Rhodes. Subs not used: Hopkins, Bradley, Morgan, Freeman.
